Couple of things here... This happens, A LOT!! Cities repave roads, but don't change the signs.. so you think 11'8" I got plenty of room.. Then the city adds 2-4" of pavement..
We used to own a ryder truck agency.. I can't tell you how many trucks I had that got "topped".... We would warn them over and over..
If you ever rent a truck to move, GET THE INSURANCE!!! Sure it's $20+ a day, but TRUST ME, it aint a car, and most likely your car insurance and credit card will NOT cover it! Ask your agent/credit card.. Tell them it's a TRUCK, and not a car/pickup... Tell them the GVW(Gross vehicle weight) and size of the thing.. They will quickly inform you, you are NOT covered....

In the process of buying a house that was turned into a biker bar. Flat black everywhere. Mannequin heads hanging from the ceiling. Shotgun shell christmas lights. Toilet seat on the wall for the $#!T#3AD of the month! Cheat codes for most games written on a scrap piece of paper(my favorite). Could probably produce a chapter just on this one house...
