Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, Dr. McCoy, and Ensign Snuggles are beaming down to the planet. They will no doubt all return safely.
Check out the rest of Etsy seller Jennifer Hugon's store, which includes critters like this in the form of Batman, Robin, Spock, Frankenstein's monster, Cylons, and zombies.
The prices at this restaurant are cheap, but you have to catch your own food. Andrew Mountcastle captured this footage of a dragonfly narrowly escaping a hungry frog.
Police in Derbyshire, UK found it difficult to locate certain people wanted on outstanding arrest warrants. So they sent letters to addresses at which they suspected the accused of receiving mail. The letters, supposedly from a marketing company, claimed the recipients had won a crate of beer:
They were told that they needed to arrange a date and time for the free alcohol to be dropped off at an agreed address.
But instead of being handed free ale the wanted men found themselves confronted by police, handcuffed and under arrest.
But did they get the beer that they were promised?
Got an extra bicycle? Turn it into a sink stand! That's what artist Benjamin Bullins did. His whole house is filled with old gear recycled for new uses.
Courtney Welbon had to memorize the "To Be or Not to Be" soliloquy from Shakespeare's Hamlet for school and decided that she'd have an easier time at it if she turned it into a song. It's now a light and cheerful work.
Good work, Ms. Welbon. But as always, Shakespeare sounds better in the original Klingon.
Wampugs, which should not be mistaken for Wampas, are particularly dangerous because they use their cuteness to get within biting range. Do not be lulled into a false sense of security by this somewhat domesticated one named Chubbs. -via Super Punch
You can't be sure how some people will respond to pork. I grew up with pickled pigs' feet -- a delicacy in the South -- but often encounter people who think they're disgusting. So although Consumerist reader Lee finds this roast unappealing, I have my knife and fork ready.
You'd never know from just looking at her work, but cross stitch artist Peng Jiangya doesn't have any fingers. She lost them in a fire during childhood. In order to earn extra money for her family, she learned this challenging craft. Now she's faster than many other cross stichers with fingers.
Although he wouldn't be the first man to have the procedure, Les Kennington of New Zealand (pictured) protested to nurses that the pain that he was experiencing could not possibly be due to the past removal of his uterus:
After going in for the CT scan, Mr Kennington said he received the results of his report from a nurse at his GP practice, who was alarmed at the results.
"She was going through the results, and saying `All clear, all clear' and then suddenly she looked at me and said `No this can't be right' – I was pretty bloody concerned at that point."
The report said Mr Kennington was clear of gallstones, "but there is evidence of surgical clips, and your hysterectomy is stable".
After far more bureaucratic effort than should have been necessary, the hospital corrected the report. But even though Mr. Kennington's file has been changed, the now-amended original diagnosis will remain on his permanent record.
Yes, just like your elementary school principal warned you.
This looks like a great treat for Easter! SandeeA drained eggs, cleaned them, coated the interiors with oil, and then poured in brownie batter. The result was this beautiful display.
YouTube user LuluPopVampire and her waifu (you can Google that term to learn what it means, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it) arranged this re-enactment of a scene from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for a cosplay competition. It's completely convincing, despite the absence of hooves.
In a lovely design juxtaposition, this custom motorcycle features a pair of jet engines mounted to a frame modeled after a 1929 Harley-Davidson design. It can reach 200 MPH, and in truly Harley fashion, does so loudly. This bike, which the owner claims is the only one in the world powered with two jet engines, is currently for sale on eBay.
In 1950, the young son of Robert Marcus died of polio. Albert Einstein wrote this short metaphysical exposition to help him through the pain. Is it philosophically sound? I don't know. But when someone is mourning the loss of a child, that's not really important.
Photographer Oleg Gordienko captured images of an amazing train tunnel in Ukraine. As you can see from his portfolio at the link, he's used it as a romantic backdrop for wedding pictures.
