Fake Pregnant Bellies Selling in China

Well, of course! Who would go outside without one?

Artificial replicas of pregnant women's abdomens, made of silica gel, have become hot sellers on the online shopping market, the China News.com reported on Monday.

Looking like the belly of a genuine pregnant woman, the imitations have variously been described as having "flesh color" and "human skin texture," and as "highly comfortable," by online shop owners.

There are currently three types of fake bellies being sold, each of which approximates a different period of pregnancy, corresponding to the second and latter trimesters and the final month.

Remember: don't dress for the job that you have. Dress for the job that you want to have.

The Hunt Continues for the Elusive Ninja Cow

Is she a trained ninja? We don't know, but she certainly has the abilities of one. The people of Cass County, Nebraska live in terror of this escaped cow:

Residents compared the cow to a ninja because — like the legendary Japanese warriors — it would suddenly appear and then disappear. It would even show up late at night on Main Street, startling tavern denizens and leaving lots of cow pies behind.

And they will stop at nothing -- nothing -- to capture the cow. Even taking her child hostage:

John and Jessica Vallery of the W.J. Cattle Co. just south of Plattsmouth tracked the approximately 1,500-pound cow through the snow and found her calf nearby. The Vallerys captured the calf and placed it in a pen, hoping its mother would walk in of her own accord.

But she did not. Oh, not yet, at least. I suspect this was a catastrophic mistake by the humans.

Godzilla Christmas Tree

Allegedly, this is a picture of a Godzilla-shaped Christmas tree that appeared in the Aqua City Odaiba shopping mall. Within minutes, it destroyed the mall. So, in retrospect, it was a really bad idea.

Marathon in Antarctica

The marathon is brutal enough as it is normally conducted. Remember that Pheidippides, the first marathon runner, died at the end. Now imagine completing one in sub-zero temperatures through the snow. That's what thirty-six runners did at the Union Glacier Antarctic base camp. The winner, Clément Thévenet, finished the race in three hours and forty-seven minutes.

The Difference between Spider-Man and Santa Claus Is Very Small

Stephen Wildish's Venn diagram illustrates that if Santa wanted to become a major league superhero -- or, more frighteningly, a supervillain -- he would be immensely powerful. He already has something of a Fortress of Solitude set up.

Library Patron Pick-Up Lines

The Tumblr blog Library Hey Girl is some anonymous librarian's fantasy involving actor Ryan Gosling and what are probably the best possible pick-up lines that you could use on a librarian. Flirting across the reference desk happens a lot. Well, to female librarians, at least.

Orson Welles Was George Lucas's First Pick to Voice Darth Vader

James Earl Jones provided the voice of Darth Vader in the original trilogy. In an interview with BBC News, Jones asserted that George Lucas's first choice for that role was Orson Welles. But Lucas reasoned that Welles's voice was too well-known.

The tragedy is that Bobcat Goldthwait was too young provide his voice. Surely he would have been the ideal Vader.

What other actors do you think would have been good in the role of Darth Vader?

Animated Christmas Lights Play Slayer

The best part, aside from the sign of the horns, is that the snowman is singing the lyrics to this Slayer song. YouTube user lacycute20's neighbors must love him. There are more videos of other songs at the link.

Can any Neatoramanaut identify the title of the song?
