Dalek Planter

Germinate! Germinate! Germinate! Inspired by a Dalek-shaped flower pot, Craftster member jackielantern made a pretty flower planter that will exterminate all life not inside of it.

Banana Trucker Hat

This simple craft by Brock Davis for his kids required just a few strokes of an X-ACTO knife. Then this Chiquita truck driver was ready to hit the road.

Action Film with Claymation Cats

Lee Hardcastle's The Raid holds nothing back as trained SWAT cats force their way into a building occupied by a criminal gang. They're adorable, in a bloodthirsty way. Content warning: violence and gore.

Online Self-Blackmailing Service

You may have already engaged in the blackmail of other people for fun and profit. But why not experience it for yourself?

Aherk! is an online service that holds you accountable to a goal that you've chosen. Submit an incriminating photo of yourself. When the deadline hits, your Facebook friends vote whether you've achieved that goal. If not, Aherk! posts the photo online. Then, presumably, the police arrive sometime later.

How Full Grown Trees Are Dug up and Transplanted

(Video Link)

It's called a tree spade -- a piece of heavy equipment previously unknown to me but apparently widely available. Here's one in Berwick, Australia slicing into the earth several feet below the surface, then carrying then entire mass down the road.

Pokémon Eye Makeup and Much, Much More

Would you like for your eyes to look like Optimus Prime? How about Fluttershy? Or Sailor Jupiter? Whatever your pop culture tastes, deviantART member nazarra has the right eye shadowing for you. Star Wars Postage Stamps

You want to ship Han Solo? You'll have to cover that entire block of carbonite in these stamps designed by Stefan van Zoggel. View the rest at his gallery.

I love R2's hat. Not everyone looks good in a hat, but R2 always looks sharp in any hat from a sombrero to a porkpie.

Ned Stark Cake Pops

Jennifer of Not Your Momma's Cookies made these hilariously morbid cake pops inspired by one particular scene in Game of Thrones. If the television series stays faithful to George R.R. Martin's novels, she'll have plenty more to make.

Artist Draws Two Portraits Simultaneously

(Video Link)

Xiaonan Sun is a self-taught artist who specializes in charcoal and pencil portraits. He's so good that he can draw two people at the same time, one with each hand.

I hope that this video doesn't give Alex a terrible idea about how to double productivity at Neatorama.

Using Super Mario Bros. to Explain Medieval Manuscript Illumination

No, you're not looking at a secret level in a Super Mario game. This is a picture of a medieval illuminated manuscript with a touch of photoshoppery applied. Carl Pyrdum, a medieval scholar, uses our friendly plumber to explain the artistic norms of the medium:

In order to keep the man and his goat in the middle from falling right on through the bottom of the page, the artist draws in little patches of ground beneath them.** Mario, no stranger to platforms that hang in the air as if bolted to the background, would feel right at home with this arrangement.

The Ovengers

Let's turn up the heat on crime. Geoffrey Sagers changed a single letter in the team name to create a very different movie.

Shouldn't Tony Stark be made of cast iron?

Cat Catches Fish/Fish Catches Cat

Oscars are big aquarium fish. They've got a lot of meat on them. But as this cat discovers, they've also got a lot of gumption.

Researchers Develop Wi-Fi Blocking Wallpaper

Are your neighbors tired of you stealing their unsecured wi-fi? Here's an expensive alternative to providing password protection. The Grenoble Institut Polytechnique and its research partners have developed wallpaper that blocks wi-fi transmissions:

The wallpaper can block Wi-Fi signals in the 2.45 - 5.5 GHz range, while simultaneously allowing television, FM radio, and mobile phone signals to pass through its surface. Metapaper can be applied to a variety of surfaces including concrete, brick and plaster, and won't be affected by decorative additions such as a layer of common house paint. No announcement has been made as to when this product might reach the U.S. market.

So far, the wallpaper costs $800 for 10 square feet.

Inflatable Obstacle Course

Hammacher Schlemmer's inflatable obstacle course is 85 feet long and includes a 16-foot high rope swing over a pit that can be filled with water. It costs just $12,500, unless you want someone to scream at you while you go though, which costs extra.

Man vs. Goose, Now with Lightsabers

(Video Link)

The classic battle between humanity and geese has escalated. Now, thanks to a touch of editing, the two sides are armed and ready to fight to the death.

Prediction: within two days, the good people of the Internet will add appropriate sound effects to this video.
