Some of these badges, such as Gypsy, really just need to be renamed and restyled. Being able to travel overland through the wild for a day with minimal equipment would still be a useful skill set.
It's odd to listen to old favorite songs and realize that they're really disturbing. I recently listened to Matthew Sweet's "I've Been Waiting", which was one of my favorite songs when I was a teenager. Now I realize that it's about a man who is waiting until a young girl becomes old enough to consent to sex.
I don't remember reading the syllabus much, either. But the course designs that I encountered was simple--usually to write two papers and take two exams.
I agree that the chart should definitely not be capped at 200 pounds.
