I doubt that would happen. Only the most hated professor on campus need fear getting fired. A professor who maintains a reasonably cordial relationship with students would be completely safe.
At work, I listen to a lot of people give me their names over the phone. Some accents are hard for me to understand. Or people say their names very quickly.* I suspect that may be the cause of some of these barista problems.

In fact, it seems food animes/manga must be over-the-top to get anyone to watch them.
I suppose they would have to be over-the-top, or else they would just be cooking shows. Although some people like to watch cooking shows for reasons that escape me.
