Awesome Business Cards Perfect for Librarians

Sunday was Book Lover's Day and while we unfortunately missed it (in our defense, we were celebrating our tenth anniversary), other blogs didn't get distracted and had ample coverage of the event. One of the most fun articles celebrating the date was posted over on Flavorwire, where they shared some of the coolest business cards inspired by books.

Whether you're a librarian, writer, English teacher or just a fan of good literature, there are a whole lot of business cards to love in their list.

These Tea Dragons Are Hoarding Tasty Leaves

If you drink tea, you know how delicious the different brews can be -and how unique one flavor profile is from another. That's why these amazing tea dragon illustrations by New Zealand artist Strangely Katie so perfectly capture the spirit of different tea varieties.

As a tea drinker, it may seem strange to see your favorite brews portrayed as dragons, but when you look at the pictures, you'll likely notice just how strangely accurate the artist's depictions of each blend really are. Oolong should be a wise, mellow friend and Jasmine is refined, beautiful and serene.

The Coolest Superhero Vehicles of All Time

I don't know about you guys, but I fell in love with Black Beauty (the Green Hornet's car, not the horse) the second I saw it. How could you not love a gorgeous black Chrysler adorned with weapons and gadgets? Of course, a Batmobile would also be pretty incredible as far as style and gadgetry are concerned.

Honestly, I'd pretty much love any of the amazing superhero vehicles on this great TopTenz list, but I'm curious, which one would you prefer?

8 Amazing Isolated Places to Stay the Night

We all wish we could live in our own little bubble sometimes and that's why our newest Homes and Hues post rounded up some of the most isolated homes, lodges and monasteries out there.

Sure, not all of them are full-time residences, but all of them are equipped with beds for staying the night -and they're all fantastic places to fantasize about leaving the rest of the world behind.

In fact, fantasizing about staying in these incredible isolated locales is often better than actually trying to hole up there, as many of these places are so out there that they've actually become tourist attractions!

So don't miss the full list over at Homes and Hues: 8 Amazing Isolated Lodges, Homes and Monasteries

Skating Kitchen = Skitchen

Have you ever wondered what happens when your kitchen is left all alone? Artist Benoit Jammes immagines that our fruits and veggies are not only alive, but active. In fact, he thinks they're taking advantage of the curves, ramps and dips in our kitchens to perform some epic skating tricks.

The series is called Skitchen and while it's adorable over all, there is at least one messy accident -this is why you wear helmets kids!

These Shoes Were Made for Scaring And That's Just What They'll Do

Some people are terrified of any clown they see. I'm not one of those people, but I still see what makes some clowns scary -especially ones with red eyes and skull-like faces. These delightful clown shoes make the most of people's fear in a terrifyingly awesome fashion accessory.

At $175, the shoes might be a little scary to your wallet too, but it's worth it for a one-of-a-kind pair of kicks that are sure to give people nightmares every time you wear them.

Are You Ready for Bacon Fest?

If you weren't already aware, it's time you should know that we here at Neatoama love bacon. In fact, we love bacon so much, we're thrilled to be attending a festival dedicated exclusively to the tasty meat. If you're as passionate about fried pork strips as we are, then you might want to head out to San Diego next month to join us at the San Diego Bacon Fest

While there, you could enjoy unlimited free samples from some of the best restaurants and breweries in San Diego -including Brulee of Bacon, Bacon Sushi Rolls, and even a beer brewed with bacon in it!

Of course, if you miss the event, we'll feature pictures and stories from the event, but your tastebuds wil never forgive you.

Royal Titles Fit Pets Better Than People

(Video Link)

John Oliver recently discussed the British House of Lords, which is something few Americans are familiar with. One of the oddest aspects (at least, to Americans) of the House of Lords is their official titles that sound equally pompous and preposterous. Never has this point been quite so well illustrated than in the "And Now" segment of the show, where he demonstrated that these names actually work better for adorable pet names than actual titles for people.

Amazing Underground Wonders From Around the Globe

As humans, we tend to focus on the world we can see -that which is hidden underground is often forgotten about all together, but this great Travel and Leisure article shows the beauty and wonder that often hides right under our feet.

From salt mines to underground rivers and from crystals taller than some homes to crypts adorned with human remains, the article shows how fascinating the world below us is.

Insanely Expensive Versions of Normal Things

Summertime is a great time for munching hot dogs, but if they just aren't classy enough for your tastes, you can always try heading to Washington where you can get your hands on a $169 dog that features wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffle and caviar.

Food that fancy shouldn't exit your body into a normal toilet, so you'd better have this $6,500 toilet equipped with an air deodorizer, heated seat, and even a nightlight.

These are only a few of the many absurdly expensive versions of normal products featured in this great  TopTenz article.

12 Kitchen Gadgets That Are As Unnecessary as They Are Awesome

I'm willing to bet that no one ever started to cook dinner only to think, 'I don't have any way to turn my food into mock-caviar though, so I guess I shouldn't even bother.' But whether or not you have need of the Imperial Spherificator, it hardly changes the fact that the product is pretty darn cool and desirable. Similarly, it's pretty easy to carve a watermelon and use it as a punch bowl, but somehow, tapping it like a keg just seems infinately cooler -hence the creation of this tapping kit.

The bottom line is that just because you don't need some kind of kitchen doodad doesn't mean you won't desperately want it. And over on Homes and Hues, we rounded up some of the most clever, cool and unnecessary kitchen tools out there: 12 Cool Kitchen Tools We Desperately Want But Absolutely Don't Need

Real-Life Disney Dudes Are Seriously Babes

Artist  Jirka Väätäinen (previously at Neatorama) took the liberty of imagining a few of the most famous Disney men as if they were real-life men. As a female Disney fan, I for one want to thank his efforts because these princes and paupers are all serious babes.

Prince Eric of The Little Mermaid even looks like young John Stamos and that somehow seems totally accurate. I can sure see how someone would want to be part of his world.

Awesome Nibbler Cosplay

This is Sir Francis Bacon. As you can see, he is an adorable little Boston terrier. He is also quite the wonderful Nibbler impersonator.

While few dogs will be able to pull off this look as well as little Bacon here, you can at least try to mimick the look since his owner was kind enough to add an Instructable on how to make your own.

Interesting Facts About Pop-Culture Pets

Who was the first character cast in the Harry Potter movies? If you guessed Hedwig, you're right. And that's not the only fun fact about magical and otherwise imaginary creatures from this great TopTenz list

Here's another great trivia tidbit -adorable little Gizmo from the Gremlins was originally supposed to become the antagonist, but Steven Speilberg decided (rightly) that fans would prefer to see the adorable little creature as much as possible in the movie and wouldn't want to root against him. Just imagine what a different movie it would be if little Gizmo was the enemy.

Superman is Dayman, Champion of the Sun

(Video Link)

Personally, I prefer Batman over Superman, but this great Always Sunny In Philadelphia/Batman Vs. Superman mashup makes a great case for why Superman is better. After all, he is a master of karate and friendship for everyone.

Honestly, I think this looks like a more entertaining movie than the actual Batman Vs. Superman film, though I still don't want to see anyone pay a troll toll to get into a boy's hole.
