Be the Belle of the Cosplay Ball With This Pokemon Gown

We've seen a litteral Poke Ball Gown before, but if you want to cosplay in full formal style while actually appearing as a character, be sure to head over to RageCostumes' store where you can get your hands on this incredible Venusaur Ball Gown that's sure to turn heads whether worn at a convention, a ball or an upcoming prom. Of course, with skills like this, if Venusaur isn't your favorite Pokemon, you might just be able to ask RageCostumes to custom-make you a Pokemon Ball Gown with your favorite character. Or just get this Princess Leia Gown (previously seen on Neatorama) instead.

This Pizza Box Is Made Out of Pizza

The owner of Vinnie's Pizzeria, Sean Berthiaume, must have been channeling Xzbit earlier this week when he thought to himself, "Yo Dawg, I heard you liked pizza, so I put your pizza in a box made from pizza." But lo and behold here is the world's first ever entirely edible pizza box that really works as more of a pizza sandwich than a functional box.

This isn't Sean's first brush with pizza glory. In fact, just last year he introduced the pizza-topped with slices of smaller pizzas. One thing's for sure, when we finally enter a true world of pizzaception, it will be served up at Vinnie's.

50 Nerds of Grey is Here to Turn You On and Off Again

There are those who think geeks aren't very sexual, but the reality is that the average person just doesn't understand their special kinks. Fortunately for the geeks looking for hot reading material (and those looking for new pickup lines to catch the geek of their dreams), there's a Twitter account called 50 Nerds of Grey just ready to get you as hot and bothered as an overloaded server.

Best of all for fans of the IT Crowd, the mere fact that it has Moss as the profile picture makes it nearly impossible to read without hearing his charmingly nasal voice in your head.

10 Disgusting Animal Defense Mechanisms

You always hear about the beauty and majesty of nature, but it's not always pretty. Sometimes nature is just plain icky. Here are some of the grossest ways animals protect themselves from predators.

1. Turkey Vultures

Image: Kevin Cole [Wikipedia]

Generally speaking, vomit may be gross, but it's not much of a defensive mechanism. That is, unless we're talking about the turkey vulture. These birds gorge themselves so much that if they have just eaten, they can no longer fly. That's why vomiting is one of their best lines of defense -it not only disgusts a potential predator with the foul-smelling, acidic substance but it also allows the vulture the chance to move way faster and possibly even fly. In fact, the regurgitation is so gross that the vulture will sometimes vomit right in the eyes of its enemies, which causes a horrible stinging sensation. Oddly, bald eagles will happily eat the regurgitated mess because apparently they would rather eat rotting meat covered in stinky stomach acid than hunt for themselves.

2. Fulmars

Image: Siman Wagen [Wikipedia]

Another bird that has mastered the art of defensive vomiting is the fulmar. The innocent-looking birds have a nasty talent -the ability to projectile vomit a foul-smelling, oily secretion on anyone that threatens them. They can even spray the junk up to ten feet. The orange oil not only smells like rotten fish, but also will not come off and even sticks to the feathers of other birds, making them unable to fly or swim so they either end up falling to their death or diving into the water only to drown. As you might imagine, the fulmar itself is immune to the sticky oil globbing up its feathers and in fact, it actually uses the secretion as a high-energy food source for both the young and adults.

3. Hagfishes

Hagfish aren't just ugly fish with an appropriately ugly name, they also have one of the most unique defense abilities in the world -the ability to ooze massive amounts of slime. This might not seem like a super helpful defense, but the goo makes it difficult for predators to grip the hagfish and it can also smother their gills, suffocating underwater predators. The slime is so thick that the hagfish themselves sometimes die if they cannot squeeze off the excess slop fast enough -which they do by tying themselves in knots. A typical fish can emit up to 5.25 gallons of the sticky glop.

The World's Most Impressive Bathrooms

In the words of a Charmin ad campaign, "we all go, why not enjoy the go?" And this incredible Lonely Planet list shows some of the best places in the world where you could really enjoy the go. From this eco-friendly toilet in British Columbia that will surely get you back in touch with nature to the Swiss outhouse offering unparallelled views of the Engadine Valley and the alps behind it, these are anything but your typical toilets.

Sure, some of the destinations ask you to sacrifice a little privacy in exchange for the scenery, but when you get a once-in-a-lifetime bathroom experience like that, is it really asking too much?

When Dogs Can Fly...Oh Wait, They Already Can

(Video Link)

Remember that time when the New Zealand SPCA taught dogs to drive to show how smart pooches are and that yes, you can teach an older dog new tricks? Well those crazy kiwis are at it again and this time they're teaching dogs to fly the friendly skies.

The pups spent four months in a flight simulator before trying the real thing and were, of course, always under the protection and supervision of trainer Mark Vette.

This Alligator Eating Another Alligator May Give You Nightmares

Nothing like a big bucket full of nope to get you going in the morning and this video of a giant alligator eating another alligator is about as "nope" as it gets.

(Video Link)

Alex Figueroa was taking a relaxing morning stroll at the Circle B Bar Reserve when he happened to stumble across this beautiful nature scene that looks more like it belongs in the movie Lake Placid than in a real nature video.

Sometimes Social Media Workers Are Real Jerks

Most companies with social media channels try to be professional and courteous, even when customers are rude and horrible. But then, some companies just don't care and this hilarious Buzzfeed article shows just how extreme they can get when they decide not to play nice.

Be warned, a lot of the language is not safe for work, but if you don't mind the bad words, you'll still get a good laugh from these tweets.

Kid's Art Turned Into Jewelry

Looking for the perfect gift for Mother's Day? Then consider heading over to Etsy where you can get artist CaitlynMinimalist to make you a cool piece of custom jewelry based completely on your submitted artwork. You can send in your artwork from childhood or some of your kid's artwork to share with their grandma -either way, it's something your mom is sure to never forget.

A Viking Funeral Fit for a Fish

Imgur user chilly911 lost his pet fish of 6 1/2 years last week. Since the fish, Peeping Tom, lived in his bathroom, watching him use the toilet, shower and more, chilly911 thought he deserved a funeral of a warrior.

He built the fish a tiny ship loaded with matches in order to provide him with a proper viking funeral and the result was perfect for helping him to rise up to Valhalla. Oddly, this is not the first viking funeral for fishes we've seen.

Rock Your 80's Style With This Pac-Man Suit

We've covered some of the crazy suits offered at Opposuits before, but generally speaking, the whole gimmick of their clothing is how ugly it is. Now that they've released this amazing Pac-Man suit though, they've obviously changed their goals because this thing is simply gorgeous.

The design is perfect for all of your suit needs -especially if you have an upcoming day in court.

That's What I Call Fruit Cake

I love a great piece of ripe fruit, but I admit, I love cake a little more, which is why this fruit basket looks so amazing to me. That's right -it's all cake. Don't believe me, check out this picture.

These surprising delights were made by Christine McConnell, author of Deceptive Desserts. Each of the cakes inside are different and in all the basket contains lime meringues, caramel apple pies, blueberry lemon hand pies, pear tarts, orange creme cakes and chocolate coated raisin grapes. Well, at least some of them contain real fruits inside.

Delightfully Odd Marshmallow Art

When is a marshmallow more than a marshmallow? When it's a work of art, of course. Instagram user Meaghan Mountford (@mallowart) proves that marshmallows are a surprisingly good canvas with her delightful mallow creations.

No word on whether or not the mallows are still edible after they are beautified, but who could eat such charming works of art anyway?

Stay Clean With the Power of the Soapicorn

I'm not one for fancy soaps, but they certainly have their time and their place. When you add glitter and a unicorn into the mix though, any time is good for fancy soaps. After all, how could you say no to a Soapicorn sitting atop a rainbow cloud that smells like unicorn farts strawberries, raspberries, citrus and apples?

For those looking for something a little more masculine, it's hard to beat the Soapsquatch that is walking across turf that smells of pine needles, citrus, strawberries, cedar and vanilla. Either way, it's hard to go wrong with these magical soaps.

Delightful Star Wars Artwork on Etsy

The Force Awakens was the Star Wars sequels we were all dying to see and now that we know just how perfect it was, it only makes sense to add artwork from the film to our existing geeky art collections. Thanks to Etsy, we can finally do that and Jenny Dolfen's amazingly geeky art. Of course, they have plenty of other geeky artwork that isn't related to Star Wars, but with pictures like the one above, how can you resist adding Rey and Kylo-Ren to you collection?

If you prefer having artwork you can wear, then don't miss the chance to get your hands on these great custom-painted kicks courtesy of Boutique of Geek Chic.
