The duct tape prom dress scholarship contest was going on when I was in high school, but even so, none of our dresses were nearly this outrageous. This particular couple's costume was inspired by the late, great Andy Warhol. There are plenty more insane prom outfits at the link, so be sure to check them all out. Link

If you're familiar with Regretsy, then you know most of their featured products are absolute trash. That being said, like Cake Wrecks, they occasionally find something that is truly worthy of praise. This amazing pinata is just one of the many detailed, artistic and downright cool designs you can order from the Pulp Parlour. Anyone wanna buy me one for my birthday this year?

If anyone was interested in creating a list of the geekiest dresses on earth, this one would definitely be near the top of the list. My favorite part of the dress though is that it looks fairly simply to make, but would be an excellent Comic Con costume. If any Neatonauts who are planning to attend the convention want to get on my yearly Comic Con costumes post, this is a great way to do so.

I love the idea of this project by web designer Matthew McVickar. He sent this camera in the mail with a message asking the postal workers to take pictures on the camera's trip to its destination. The result is fun and educational, and it would be a great school project for any teachers out there.

Artist Joe Dragt's medium of choice is the humble outdated circuit board. It's a great way to reinject value into something that otherwise may have been thrown away. The paintings work surprisingly well as a backdrop for the organic subjects he uses.

What happens when you switch a parent and a child's head in a photograph? Pure creepiness and delightful family photos that won't soon be forgotten, that's what. Paul Ripke's Kindsköpfe (“Grown Ups”) series is certainly worth taking a long look at.

The lyre bird attracts its mates by doing accurate impressions of the other birds in the forest. When they are put an urban setting though, they quickly start copying the other noises they hear instead though, whether that means cars, construction equipment or camera noises. Here's one doing its thing at the Adelaide Zoo. On an interesting side note, a group of lyrebirds is known as a musket. For more cool animal grouping names, this Environmental Graffiti article may prove useful. Video link
