Hi-Yo Silver Away!

This kitty certainly loves other critters, even horses. Now if only they could actually learn to do this while on the road, they could make their owners a fortune.

6 Lies Your School Taught You About America's Founding

I know that Cracked has a reputation of exaggerating theories as though they are all truth, but they do try to maintain a nugget of truth. To that end, this article about the founding of America and the many lies we've been taught about it are all pretty fascinating.
In the decades between Columbus' discovery of America and the Mayflower landing at Plymouth Rock, the most devastating plague in human history raced up the East Coast of America. Just two years before the pilgrims started the tape recorder on New England's written history, the plague wiped out about 96 percent of the Indians in Massachusetts.

If that is true, it certainly explains a lot. In fact, many of their other list items in the article fit in with this idea.

25 Seriously Awesome Bento Boxes

Yes we've already featured a few of these cool bentos, but they're so great that it never hurts to revisit them, and the ones we haven't shared are certainly worth a long look.

Now That's A Spacy Ring

Not only is this ring gorgeous, it also features a lovely rendition of the planets. Better still, it actually is made from meteorite, gold and gemstones! This would be an ultimate wedding ring for any astronomer.

Maru's New Toupee

Maru's shedding, but with a kitty so adorable, even his lost hair is simply precious, which is why it made so much sense to turn it into a series of adorable wigs for him.

Don't Knick His Face!

Sure it's a cutting board, but I still couldn't help but feel bad if I cut poor Mario. That being said, it's still a great take on Mario's delightful 8-bit self. Sure $110 is a lot for a cutting board, but I'm sure a lot of work went into hand-making this detailed creation.

Scents That Go With Your Gaming

Etsy seller Bubble & Geek is one of the site's many candle makers. What sets them apart though is that their scents are all inspired by games, movies and other geek influences and bare adorable labels to remind you of the connection.

The Dinosaur Versus The Bumble Bee

The best part is the way the dino's adorably stubby arms keep smacking the poor little bumble bee.

This Rum Tastes A Little Fishy

Sure the Mon Calamari might not actually come from under the sea, but there's no way you can convince me that something that looks like that and has "Calamari" in its name doesn't smell like fish and if it made rum, I'm certain it would rub off.

The Post-It Note Video Game

(Video Link)

It no doubt took a lot of time and effort to create a stop-motion video game out of nothing but Post-It notes, but the animators at prestigious French engineering school École nationale supérieure des mines de Saint-Étienne proved that their dedication to the project was certainly worth the time investment.

What Do You Mean It Won't Fit?

Poor guy, he just wants to show his new friend where he lives, but either his friend refuses to come inside or his owners refuse to let his friend in. Whatever the reason, it's very frustrating for the little guy.

If Pixar Made The Avengers

Now that Disney owns the rights to Marvel, it only makes sense that they would combine their newest acquisition with an earlier one. If they did, it would almost certainly look very similar to what artist J.M. Walter came up with in this great illustration.

The 5 Worst Animal Mothers Ever

Last week Miss C linked to a story about 9 bad animal mothers, but if you just can't get enough terrible critter parenting, then you might just enjoy this Cracked article with even more wretched mothers. For example, the Tasmanian devil that places its own form of natural selection on its own babies after giving birth to a litter of around 50 pups:
Because there are only four milk spigots, only four pups will survive. Plain and simple. As soon as they're born, there's a race to see who gets one of mommy's feeding nozzles. Whoever makes it there first and can hold on wins.

The rest simply don't survive, but believe it or not, they're only ranked #5 on the list of crummy critter moms.

Well, That's One Solution

How do you deal with having outside cats when you live in an upstairs apartment? Well, you could teach your cats to just wait outside your lobby for you to get home...or you could train them to grab on tightly to a chair and make a budget kitty elevator. It might not be as practical, but it sure is cooler.

Now This Guy Is A Real Game Master

The best thing about Youtube user 16bitghost's absurdly huge gaming set up is that the 24 console areas still aren't enough for his PS3. Seriously though, how do you even switch between them all on your TV system? I get annoyed just going between the DVD player, cable, Wii and X Box, I can't imagine flipping through all of these options.
