That actually reminds me of one of the best bits on the Russel Brand Show. He had some of the idiotic West Baptist Church people on there and they called him a "fag pimp" (which is stupid even in American English), but he cracked up that to Brits like him that meant he was pushing cigarettes on people.
And the kid's parents should take this as an opportunity to teach the youngster that movies and haunted houses aren't real.
