Edward's Comments

Went to rattlesnake roundup in Texas once upon a time. Nice way to be amazed at human skills and enjoy a cold drink. If I remember right, the snakes are raised or caught wild. All are milked for venom and create most of the anti-venom in the US. You loose if you kill a snake.

I have two opinions. Neither are very complimentary.
Most of what she said was needless cruelty. No one needed to be reminded about the drunk teacher. Counselors are there to help students in need, not the valedictorian. It is not the office staff's job to find scholarships.
I had similar issues with my high school, so I dropped out and entered college early. Many first rate schools do not require graduation. She could have done the same. And, in case it matters, I was in the top 1% of the class.

I generally agree, but the author must have been to the one Five Guys with edible fries. I rank them at the bottom and would put In-n-Out in the middle of the pack.

Nesting animals frequently harvest filling from my outdoor cushions. Crows start the carnage and hummingbirds and bees follow along. The fiberfill is waterproof and lasts much longer than natural fibers.

This is pretty common around these parts. New developments means young families and lots of schools. As children grow up and move away (and as housing costs increase) fewer children (and in my neighborhood, no children) need those schools. Many are converted to adult education. Some are designated for special education. Many are district/city/county office space.

I am not sure about the premise of the story. The below link shows that a child's walker can be had for under $40. That might be under the insurance company's co-pay amount, but that is far from them refusing to pay for it. When one includes that cost of items from Home Depot ($16 in PVC pipe, $12 for connectors, $4 for glue, $10 for wheels, $4 for hardware (not to mention the tools)) the difference in cost between a commercial, safe walker and this one is silly-small.Not to mention that the commercial walker will grow with the child and this one will be too small very shortly which means the family will have to build another one.

I remember when the Air Force flew stealth fighters domestic bases to see if their regular equipment and staff could find or catch it. Had one particularly interesting evening when everything at Bergstrom scrambled everything.
My guess is that the observed craft is an undisclosed US design.
