I still make it myself. Here is a link to an inexpensive, high-quality, electric bread machine: http://www.amazon.com/West-Bend-41300-Electronic-Dual-Blade/dp/B002JM0ZWK

The recipes that come with it work wonderfully as long as you learn three things:

1. Use cheap, bulk ingredients designed for breads. Fancy flours and yeasts do strange things.
2. Measure the yeast with precision. Adjust to alter the amount of rise.
3. Learn what a the loaf should look like after the first kneading. Add or reduce water so that it is a single, slightly sticky ball.

As you might remember my house backs on Aliso Park in Orange County. It connects to series of protected land that goes from the mountains to the ocean. I go hiking through it at least once a week and used to go biking through it every morning. I have seen numerous large cats over the years and almost ran over a full grown puma five years ago. The tracks were within half a mile of that incident, so it looks like there is a stable populations. Look for an exact location in your e-mail.

Pfft. Obvious bimodal distribution. If the data were divided into three groups (zero astronomers, one astronomer, multiple astronomers) the correlation would be much more significant. In short, one astronomer does not help a movie that much. There must be more than one.

What I love is that we can identify that they are cat paw prints after 600 years. After coming across some puma tracks a month ago, I researched the defining features: outside pads different shapes and lengths, scallop on the rear pad, concave rear pad at the center of the paw, no claw marks, wider than it is long.

I stopped eating store bought bread over a decade ago. No other reason than the flavor. That bread looks delicious and all natural.

Does anyone know what is going on with the round loaf with the beret?

"One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas." Victor Hugo's much paraphrased quote was the original, and still the best, concept on memes. Truth does not matter when a population is ready to believe.
