Dry Ice Bubble

(YouTube link)

Instead of blowing a bubble yourself, maybe the reaction of dry ice in water can blow it up for you! I'm not sure what I expected to happen here, but what happened was awfully pretty. -via Daily of the Day

1/4 cup deionized water
1 Tbsp Palmolive
1 Tbsp Vegetable Glycerine

This worked well enough for the nine year old, but I was not satisfied as I had seen better. In the future, I will try cheap dishwashing liquid instead of a brand name. I will also try to find a Pustefix Bubble Bear.

Very neat! BTW, that is the recipe for super-bubbles. No mater how they are blown, they will be very stable. If made from a fresh batch, they will even bounce off the floor.

Hmm... a nine year old is visiting today. I should make a batch.
