I heard an NPR report about this - when they guys arrived at some remote village, he had to make hats for the chief of the tribe, then his (various) wives, then his underlines, and then everyone else. A sign of respect, they said.
Either Paul hails from outside the USA or he's been living under a rock. :) Just kidding, Paul - it's Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson of MTV's the Newlyweds fame (both pop stars). This breakup even made it on CNN's front page!
I've had the fortunate chance to see how other countries portray news. American news channels definitely are more prone to scaremongering, especially during sweep weeks!
