In a rented apartment there was an in the wall soap dish mounted upside down. Sometimes workers would do things like that to see if inspectors were really looking.
The toilet one reminds me of when we moved into our old house back in 1973. The previous owners had a new toilet installed. When the plumbers did it they left the bathroom door, which opened to the inside, so that you couldn't close it. Had to take the door off the hinges to correct the situation.
Heh. I was wating in a line last January at Hammond Stadium here in Fort Myers to but tickets to the Minnesota Twins spring games. All of a sudden there were two guys between me and the man who was in front of me all morning. I quickly informed them that the line did not end in front of me, but quite a bit behind. They moved to the end. That man behind me seeing it all actually asked me if I had been in the Army. I said I was once. Being 6'3" 290 and a former bar bouncer helps too.
Whatever. The only one of those that had me literally roling in the aisle and making my stomach hurt was the first time I saw Animal House. I was never in a frat in college, but so much of it I could relate to.
Yes, the Love Boat was tiny compared to the monsters of today. Watching re-runs of the show is one of my guilty pleasures. Funny to see all the guest stars.
Had a pal in college from New Hampshire who had a fairly heavy New England accent. He asked me to help him speak w/o it. Was funny going through the "park the car in the Harvard yard" routines.
I had a neighbor who was born with one half an arm. She married a guy who I think was one of the Japanese-American war heroes. She drove a car with no apparent problem. Also knew a guy who played softball with a prosthetic arm. He pitched and tucked his glove under his fake arm, quickly switching it to his real one in order to field a ball. Amazing to see him do it so easily.
Splash Mountain does have a pretty steep drop at the end, but #1? I didn't realize Space mountain was a coaster. I get a bit of whiplash from them. At least it was over quickly.
