Quite an achievement. I remember buying my Mother her first pop up toaster with some of the Christmas tip money I got from my paper route. Years later our older son treated his family to a stay in Lake Placid with money he earned selling worms.

I bought my first new car in 1963, a Dodge Dart GT 2 door hard top. It had the slant 6 226 cu.in engine with the Torqueflite automatic transmission, a 3.45:1 rear axle (a Nascar racing part), and torsion bar suspension. I took it out that night on a straight stretch of Rt.37 outside of Ogdensburg NY to see what it would do. I got it up to 115 mph when I decided I didn't trust Detroit all that much. Yes over the next few years I did get a few speeding tickets. One time I was coming home at dusk after a college class and when the State Trooper caught up with me he told me that they were just getting ready to take down their radar trap when they hear me coming. He said they could tell by the sound of my tires thatI was moving pretty fast. He asked me about the car's drive train. I got a ticket for going 70 in a 55 mph zone, a lenient citation. A couple yeats later I had my bad accident and totaled the car, lucky to be alive. I wasn't speeding that nigth, I actually fell asleep. I do not exceed speed limits any more.

Hope the folks get warned when they want to test the system.

Mrs.O dropped out of school at 16. After we married and when our kids were older she got her GED. Then she got an Associate Degree in Accounting form the community college. At age 50 she went to college full time for two years and eventually got her BS in Accounting. Not easy and I couldn't have been more proud of her.

Interesting. Ponderosa at first was sort of a fast-food steak place.Then they went to not cooking steaks ahead like burgers and added a salad bar to give customers something to do while waiting for their steaks to cook. Ponderosa was low cost even for my family for a Friday pay day dinner. Down here I like Sweet Tomatoes. Golden Corral has built 2 stores in the area, and also a Buffet City here but I have not gone to any of them yet.

My kids loved it. The first few episodes were almost like real sci-fi. When it became the Dr. Smith/Will Robinosn/Robot Show it went down hill fast.

We've had those mini-frogs in our pool once in a while. Can't figure out how they get there with a screened in pool.

That's a job I would not want.

I bet they are still heavy. My Grandmother called them "spiders" back in the day.

I forgot about Otto Palindrome. Whenever I saw that actor--he was always Otto.

That was one goofy show.

Why not use any resources available in our solar system? Have no idea if there are any useful minerals on the moon in quantities large enough to make it worth the effort.

One of our cats passed away naturally at home. He is buried out in back with a large rock on top as a marker.
