Just to add, and clarify. That lame excuse for a human is responsible for the deaths of at least half my family and ten thousand of my countrymen, so things like this hit a nerve. For that reason, if anyone wants to flame me for these posts, they can flame empty air because I won't be baited into a political argument or responding to the people who have no clue what a butcher this so called hero really was.
We're three posts in and no one has yet whined about this being a disgusting waste of food.
stupidlogicman, in the UK, people generally do the "Swedish" pancakes, though Scotland I hear is the exception to the rule (correct me if I am wrong, anyone). I agree though, they do look like the thinner version from the pictures. Maybe it's because they are in a hotel restaurant?
It was a big thing in the States during that time too, Leela. I guess in an age before photography was invented and then before it was easily available to people, this was the keepsake of choice. I agree, though, it's creepy as all get out.
While this fish is certainly neat, and the first thing that crossed my mind was, "Can ya eat it?", it's hard to look at. Something about it just skeeves me out to no end.
You know what I have found? A lot of people have opinions that they manage to get out to the general public without any real research to support them.
Guess what? Kids are self centered and have short attention spans. And if they have crappy parents, they will never outgrow that. Why is it that instead of putting the blame where it belongs, people want to blame the world around them for their kids' failings? It used to be rock and roll and television. Now it's social networking.

I think I will stick to wool.
