Whoever the lady is on the right, she handled it beautifully: officially got the story out, made it be more than just about the Kardashians (naming a pet after your father), supported her co-worker in his time of need, and helped him calm down without ever losing her own cool. Good job!
I lived in a place in Britain with a smaller shed than that for the local post office, and it was only open for a few hours three times a week (that's how many days the postman got there, at a time when there was still two deliveries a day in London).
I agree with you, but the poster I was replying to said that poverty in the U.S. is the opposite; that the poor here are living like, dare I say it: welfare queens.
"But we can't find the cufflinks. Were they insured?" "Yes, of course," Morton replied. "Just look at the mess you've made." He pointed to the muddy footprints they'd tracked in from the garden. "If there was any evidence of a real burglar, you've completely obliterated it."
So the cufflinks were insured, the first thing Morton mentions is that the police made a mess rather than worrying about his loss, and he uses a curious adjective: a "real" burglar. Seems that there are three clues pointing toward Morton, and he just as likely as Gene could have knocked out the glass from inside, making it a total of four clues pointing his way.
Self defense was justified. They stopped when the man was no longer a threat.
In the military there are issues of following the orders of commanding officers, never complaining, putting the welfare of the entire unit ahead of the individual, etc. Military females are not sexually assaulted because they're too physically weak in comparison to their male equivalents.
You do not know if the guy was drunk and/or a poor fighter: you assume this because you also assume that "just about any" man can overpower any two women because....why, exactly?
"America comes off looking bad on poverty only because the poverty level in the US is set higher than anywhere else. You can have a couple cars, a nice house, TVs in every room, secure job, etc., and still be counted as impoverished."
Let's start there. Where did you read this tripe? Show us factual information that backs up this nonsense.

In short, I agree with EdwardCarney.

Why did we need to know any of this? Oh, right: she's female. Age and physical attraction must be disclosed first before any actual pertinent info.
