Miss Celania: Once you speak French you don't really compute things as "feminin" or "masculin". It does not have a real meaning. Speedo, unfortunately, is masculine.
I saw some of those Japanese painting a few years ago in the MFA in Boston. What had striked me is the closeness of technique with the Ligne Claire style of drawing that would create the fame of Belgian cartoons (i.e. Tintin).
If you're in the NE area make sure you stop at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Their Japanese collection is impressive.

I believe creating in a system helping "minorities" to have doors opened and climb the social ladder, but enforcing it opens the Pandora box : after the sex, the skin color, the disability, why not ethnic groups, size, age, religion, political views, etc...
