In France our top loaders have the same vertical basket than a front loader, but with a little door on the cylinder to load the clothes. It makes the machine much smaller, especially compared to the wide American ones.
If you started your digital life on monochrome screens with multiplan or word, not only you would have used those shortcuts but Ascii codes as well to draw lines. I surprised young interns with my (faster) use of the keyboard. Shift+Ctril+F12 this? ;)
