Did you know that Verdun was by far not the bloodiest battle of WW1? The beginning of the war with the 1914 movement battles was much more costly in lives.Verdun though still carries the scars of the shelling and still you can find shells in the woods.
I realized in the early 2000's that Patterson had stopped C&H completely, forever. It's amazing how I still feel the sense of loss. Maybe Calvin is a grown up now, surely with his own kids to take care of ;)
This post made me laugh so hard :D anyway, once one of my coworker in his 30's was met at the end of shift by a woman, I would guess 55 years old. Later I told him "hey, it's nice you mom came to see you!". He answered :"she's not my mom, it's my girlfriend ". Aaaand cut!
The longuest I remember and modestly photographed is the 84 miles between Mount Aigoual and Mount Ventoux, France. You have to plan it on a beautiful day after a rainy one.
