This is utterly disgusting! Who needs something this big? I'll admit that it would be nice to have a little more room in my house, but 20x more area? Obscene!

Building a coracle is all well and good. What they need is a video on *paddling* the coracle. It's not as easy as it looks!

Great video. As a I recall, some coral damage is due to anchors and other man-made damage. This should definitely help.

The people who believe in such things as the Shroud of Turin tend to be pretty immune to logic.

That's an impressive amount of paint.

The above image is so evenly covered in stars because it is a very very close up of a globular cluster. Through a backyard telescope, Omega Cen looks like a big fuzzball (to use the technical term). But if you zoom in enough (something Hubble can do better than anything else), you start to see a very evenly-distributed starfield.

My human hair has been turning into solar panels since sometime in the mid-90s. I'm pleased to say that my scalp is now more than 50% solar powered except when I'm wearing a hat.

Great images! Yay Hubble (and I'm not just saying that because it pays my rent...).

If the family had 19 dogs, they'd be taken away by the ASPCA. 19 kids? No problem!

$20 for a bivy site? Sure, I typically travel with sleeping bag and pad anyway, so this would be perfect.

It's impressive, but required a lot of filing and sawing off of natural cave formations. Not cool! Look, don't touch.

Some of these studies are really quite something. The elephant self-recognition one (#10) in particular is pretty good science with some really revolutionary results. The breast-bouncing one... fascinating on so many levels.

In my opinion, skyhooks/pinwheels are a better way to go since they would be substantially smaller and not have to bother with climbing the cable.
