The only thing I don't really like about the situation is (if its accurate; I myself have done no such research) if they truly ARE 1 notch above endangered, shouldn't there be laws to KEEP animals from becoming endangered? Seems pretty stupid of us to not protect a species until it's become endangered. Nothing like caring when it's too late...
