Always a few people who need to put others down in order to signal that they themselves are ok. So in order to let everyone know that they themselves aren't racist, they need to call others that, either directly or by policing their language. People have a need to use public forums for that. They need a Rickie Lake show or a Neatorama where they can stand up from their audience seat and say profound things like "You can’t say that they’re of different races. The human race is the only human race there is."
Anyway... there have been quite a few cases like this one. They pop up in the tabloids every few years and people are awe-struck yet again since they don't remember that they have seen this kind of thing before. It's not common with this much of a difference in appearance, but it's perfectly reasonable. It's a gene lottery after all.
The Swedish metro spans 101 stations, which isn't bad for a reasonably small capital. Tickets are $5.65 for a signgle fare tho, which may explain where they find the cash for paint.
I guy I know (or knew) went through the same thing more or less. While he kept refusing to move they dug and dug but his building was never completely surrounded like this one.
Eventually, after holding out for years, his building started to come apart, now being located on the very edge of a cliff. All other tenants were long gone. Last time I visited him, there was a wide crack that had started to split his living room in two.
Those were strange times. But THIS photo... looks so surreal that the first thing you think is that it has to be a fake.
I don't know... I think handcuffs like these are getting to be as rare as bobby pins. Here in Europe I think everybody uses those plastic strip things which are impossible to escape. They are disposable, light and anyone can carry enough of them in their pocket to handcuff a dozen protesting teenagers.
Well, staying in Italy (as in Venice) and not Spain here, they do have processions there with with hooded, all in white men. Some are also white with red hoods and others, I think, all in black. They carry chains and ropes and crosses.
I think it's the Good Friday procession called Processione del Cristo Morto, but I'm not sure. Maybe the hoods are also used in other rituals. I remember seeing a documentary about it once. Some sort of Mono film I think, showing it off as something very bizarre. Which of course it is.
