I have an idea for a project called "Kings and Queens of the Streets", where we give plastic crowns and scepters to homeless people so they can feel rich.
Sounds like a good guy, but as stated by others, he WAS receiving compensation for his work, in the form of a car, a driver, and meals. If all the govt is trying to collect is $723, I'd say he got a good deal.
Interesting to see some numbers for this. I have always suspected that complaints about the cost of living going up, and complaints that "families NEED two incomes to get by these days", had more to do with the increased standard of living rather than the economy. Maybe we shouldn't complain about taxes, inflation, or the cost of gas, as long as 10% or more of our spending is for stuff for we don't need.
Don't worry, Fran, there's still time. She's got a large window of time (large window, get it?) in which to file a lawsuit. After she talks to her attorney, she'll sue the automaker, the rescuers, and the onlookers. And maybe the person she was trying to help, for good measure.
