You're doing a fine job and I'm having a hard time trying to keep up on this site. Besides, it's a lot more fun throwing out occasional snarky comments from the peanut gallery. . .

According to my mother the car, my man from uncle, Mr. Ed once told her that when he was in combat with the avengers of F-troop, my favorite Martian was a better series. They'd make a rat patrol to some quiet place like petticoat junction where they could watch it. Usually right around 12 o'clock high. I dunno though; Uncle Ed was in like the wackiest ship in the army and I don't mean McHale's navy. While he may have gun - will travel, he was one step beyond a secret agent and would never get smart.

I think the original translation incorrectly titled the manual "To Serve Man" and there were some issues around that.

Superman and the Mole Men was my favorite back then.

Hey Funky Freya - just wanted to say I watched "Manos" over the weekend. You are correct and it's worstness far exceeds Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Can you give us an example of something that you've forgotten?

'Subtle' is subjective I guess. I personally don't really care anymore because this is pretty much what we are. But just to be clear, in Vietnamese, the pronunciation of 'pho' is 'fuh'.

Here's my theory on Fireball XL5 and lot of other stuff from back then. Outside of Disney, Captain Kangaroo, and a couple others, no one knew how to deal with children. They took adult themes and just toned them down a bit - made them simpler and easier to understand. Eventually, things changed and what we got was fluff.
I'm thinking "I don't watch television anymore" is a bit too harsh. Ñetwork television maybe. The early seasons of Walking Dead were good, Black Mirror on Netflix is awesome, and I think you would have enjoyed Feud: Joan and Bette on FX. That's a few and there's lot of others.

Back in Buffalo on WKBW we had Rocketship 7 and Commander Tom mornings and afternoons. Friday Night Fright Night after the "It's 11 O'clock, do you know where your children are?" news.

The article touched upon it - a basic knowledge of the history of the American West clearly defines the military's love for alcohol. Today I make my own limoncello and flavored moonshine using grain alcohol. Illegal to sell from Massachusetts north, but readily available at the local military exchange. . .

No. But I have jello brain molds that are part of my mad scientist display every Halloween. Same difference I'm thinking.
