I too have a lot of books on many bookshelves. A long time back I came across one I had forgotten about and not read. This led to the creation of a bookshelf entirely for unread books. Which led not to FOMO (or guilt), but to stress from not reading all the books accumulating on that shelf. For me, learning is just a byproduct from the pleasure/enjoyment I get from reading a good book. I'm long over the stress part, but still buying, albeit more selectively. And I try to stay away from our annual "Friends of the Library" sale. I'm out of space. I also don't like the term antilibrary. Too much of a negative connotation in my mind.

Took me a while to digest all of this. Appreciate the effort and like WTM's previous work on Thriller, this one will get bookmarked for future reference. I can also say that my Conan comic collection is pretty extensive and continues to grow. If it wasn't for Marvel, De Camp, and Roy Thomas, I might never have heard of Howard. Red Nails has been adapted quite a few times in the comic world. I will now have to fine the time to read the original and then compare. Thanks.

There's not a lot of publicity around the Quadrantid meteor shower because it's peak is very narrow: 2-6am, Saturday, January 4th, and the best views are in the Northern Hemisphere. But the 4th is a moonless night and the Quadrantids peak at 50-100 an hour. And timing is always a bit iffy. Could be later, could be earlier. If one happens to be out, maybe in a hot tub, around midnight, look to the Northeast just below the Big Dipper.
