This is very cool and I'm wondering if a paper towel roll would work. Perhaps you need the finish of a Pringles can to hold the paste while it cures. . .

Since someone decided to put up the the world's largest fiberglass statue of Santa Claus. Unlike the World's Tallest Filing Cabinet, there's at least a gift shop to go with this one.

The "Desert" of Maine was the first thing that popped into my head as soon as I saw the title. Yup. I can claim 11. Some of these, I think are just the locals complaining about tourists. The Alamo, for instance, is a pretty small place; but there's a lot of history there if that's your thing. I really found it interesting. It's not digitized, but somewhere I have a picture of the World's Tallest Filing Cabinet. Part of a Weird New England Tour long time ago. It was in the middle of a vacant lot in a run down warehouse area. Another 'Yup' for ya. And same for the Old Man of the Mountain. For many years he was held together by iron cabling, chains, and added concrete. Nature eventually won and down he crashed. Now there's just a highway pull-off - a memorial overlooking a granite cliff where one can imagine. . .

Their Buffalo home was about 10 minutes from where I grew up. Not long after their 1870 marriage, Olivia's father died of cancer. Their baby also had health issues and these combined are why they left Buffalo. There was a pipe manufacturing site near the home and one story is that's what contributed to the family's various illnesses. Attempts were made to preserve the home but it had been sold, damaged by fire, and eventually just fell apart. Demolished in the 60s.
