My brother was born about 12 weeks premature 46 years ago. The doctors all warned my parents not to expect much from him, assuming he survived - which wasn't likely.
He not only survived, he graduated valedictorian of his class, was a varsity letterman in highschool, went on to get his MBA and is married with three wonderful kids.
Kimberly (named after the diamond, perhaps?)sounds like a fighter and every day is a victory for her. I hope for the best for her and her parents. While I don't consider myself a Christian, there is a passage in the bible that I think fits: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
