Hello, world.

I'm a 25 year old living in Boston, doing web marketing for a big mutual fund firm here. My job allows me (and almost encourages me) to check up on blogs, and Neatorama is at the top of my list!

I used to check the Cellar's Image of the Day, which would collaborate with Neatorama on a weekly basis. Now I never let a Neatorama post pass unnoticed, and it's gotten to the point where whenever I mention any random piece of trivia, I get made fun of for reading it too much.

Alex, thanks to you and the Neatorama staff for making me smile when I open my browser. :o)

Well, spending does keep the economy afloat. Can't have wages, profit, if you there's no one on the other side spending...

But the American saving rate is pitiful. Actually, wouldn't the rate be negative, considering most Americans are in debt?

Agree with Dana...

Also, they consider themselves a Baptist church. I grew up a Baptist, and it pains me to think that this might be the way the general public views that particular faith...

In reality though, they are not associated in any way with any of the Baptist church organizations in the country.

Oh, and it's Massachusetts BAY Transportation Authority.

Which is something Boston SHOULD ban. Service is atrocious... the other day, I was waiting at a bus stop with ~5 other people, and a bus [with passengers - it was not off duty] just drove by us! Cold, raining...and 20 minutes until the next one came.

Yeah that bomb scare was ridiculous... I work on the 30th floor in downtown Boston, and no one knew what the hell was going on. Kind of scary, to be honest.

It is weird though, how things changed so dramatically...

From no "Louie Louie", no Jackson 5, no Welcome Back Kotter...to gay marriage a few decades later. Makes you wonder what the political landscape will be like 25 years from now...

If Santa's toy factory was located at the North Magnetic Pole, he'd probably spend more time packing up and moving than making toys. The North Pole is currently moving 41 kilometers a year - over a football field a day!

You think this company will fail?

The purpose of this website was to generate a buzz. And I'm fairly certain it's done a good job with that.

Now let's see if it can maintain that...
