The article offers a plausible mechanism by which the original form of snake oil (containing actual snake oil) may have worked, but little in the way of actual evidence. While research suggests that oral consumption of omega-3 fatty acids contains anti-inflammatory properties, there is little research on the effects of topical application. Until more research has been conducted, I don't think we can say that the original snake oil worked.
I generally don't instantly think "fake" with these sorts of vids, but I'm just skeptical about this one. I could be wrong though. And no, I am not a moon hoaxer.
Looks fake. It's a pretty low quality video so I am doubting the frame rate would be high enough to capture the bottle flying over in that much detail.
