My little sister had severe, chronic ear infections as a little kid and so my mother was really in tune to the little changes in behavior that indicated my sister was going to develop a new infection. One day my sister was really tugging at her ear and complaining of pain. So my mother rushed her to the pediatrician's office. The doctor peers into my sister's ear with his otoscope and starts chuckling. Turns out my sister had a blue sequin stuck her ear canal. LOL!
