Allow me to preface my comment by first pointing out that I loved Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Motorcycle Diaries, and El Crimen de Padre Amaro:

Glorifying illegal immigration is not going to help the f@#king problem.

Referring to yourself as a "medical ethicist" is a great way to identify yourself as an attention whore. Do they think it's more fair to leave someone in a vegetative state for decades on end, sucking money out of their family's or the government's pockets and not getting better?

I'm absolutely sick of the new misuse of the term curvy. Curvy means not angular, it does not mean 40 pounds overweight. Heidi Klum is curvy; Oprah is just fat.

"Legally, Wal-Mart is in the right. But morally, I don’t think so"

That doesn't make any sense. The law is based on common morality. Those people won money in a lawsuit that was intended to cover her care. Then, they greedily had her employer pay for her medical bills, which should have been paid using the money from the suit. This is insurance fraud.

"Why would you think it’s bogus? I’m just curious if you have any reason to assume it’s not true."

For one thing, they're both female, genetically speaking. The article said nothing of a male donor of sperm. Nor did they explain how a female who had undergone a sex change managed to have an embryo implanted in her uterus, via the plumbing of her brand new penis. Did they use a very long cuetip and lots of KY?

People don't understand the "mortgage crisis" because it's about as real as global warming. A handful of rich people and house-flippers bought secondary homes they couldn't afford, and when the housing market stopped expanding, they lost their shirts. There's no friggin' financial crisis, except for the rising cost of energy.

Orjans Morjan -

I don't know what country you're in, but I've never heard of any place in the world where self-esteem advertising was illegal. It's usually encouraged; governments use it to advertise their own programs.
