Anyone who's ever seen a group of Japanese tourists at a fine art museum can understand how this happened. The concept of not meddling with an exhibit, be it a 500 year old oil painting or an animal with a fragile diet, is completely alien to them.
There's probably a subtle commentary about the future of professional artists and entertainers in general here, but I can't bear to think about it. Once, poets were revered as the height of passion and intellectualism. Then, literacy went on a rampage and the tools of the trade became accessible to everyone.
Allow me to pile on: yes, this was pathetic, pandering, and an insult to the intelligence and sense of humor of anyone watching it. Just like the actual freaking election. But at least Gobama and Shrillary both have the presence of mind to not shove a couple pre-schoolers down our throats.
Has anyone ever heard of a movie called White Girls, the plot of which is centered around two African-Americans spending the entire movie in whiteface?
This may have been a neat post, but I honestly didn't feel like reading it after realizing how ridiculously long it took to scroll past. It would have been better to post a short excerpt, and link the rest.
Anyone who has studied macroeconomics knows that nations go through stages of development. America used to be a manufacturing economy, but has long since moved on to become a service economy. Manufacturing economies draw in a lot of hard cash in the short run, the way America did after the World Wars and Japan and China have been doing since the 70's, but ultimately the dependence on cheap labor and a degrading environment catch up with them.
This lady seems like a special kind of stupid. The God referenced in these oaths is clearly the same Judeo-Christian God that she worships, and what made her think there was any chance whatsoever of actually having to physically defend these constitutions? Even if she were drafted today, she'd have the chance to serve a noncombat function.
"Kreuscher also told the Daily Herald that he’s worried that atheists may be successful in having the phrase "In God We Trust" removed from U.S. currency."
(had to be said)
Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Go take your meds and come back when you've calmed down.
Inshallah, yes.
