It is the original "beta" version of the music CD using player-piano type technology. I haven't seen one for some time, but it looks like it is probably Stephen Foster's first album.

I agree with previous commenters in several respects:
1. Original Scooby-doo series was by far the best.
2. I despised Scrappy-doo and everything he was in.
3. Jonny Quest was awesome. It was my favorite show as a kid and I wouldn't trade ONE grainy video of an original Jonny Quest episode for the ENTIRE catalog of Scooby-doo related stuff. (Of course, that would only be if it included the opening credits with Jonny's rockin' theme music...) The new adventures of Jonny Quest that is on sometimes these days is awful. I really miss the original with Jonny, Hadji, Bandit, Dr. Quest (and of course Race Bannon and Jade).

A couple of years ago when my family & I went to Dineyland, the Splash mountain ride broke down while we were on it (right after we went down the big drop). It was actually kind of interesting - - they had to get everyone out of their "logs" and then we were led out through the insides of the ride, where all the machinery was and some "logs" were out of the water for repairs. We felt kind of lucky to have seen partt of the park that most people don't get to see, but is was kind of tedious as it took them about twenty minutes to rescue the elderly asian couple in the log in front of us - - they eventually had to pretty much get in and pretty much pick hem up and hand them out to a co-worker one at a time....

Not sure, but it looks similar to a device I used to use that was for banding bundles of things. It would crank tight and then secure a length of metal band around bundles (of metal pipe in my case) in preparation for shipping or transport. I have seen newer, simpler setups, but the one i used was an ancient, steampunk-looking thing like this.

If I am right I would like flying monkeys t-shirt as large as you sell (2xl or 3xl if possible)

I think that D Bozko's comment above concerning 1947 is actually very pertinent. Many people (myself included) feel that the so-called "Roswell incident" would have been a complete non-event and would have been seen easily to have had a common, simple (non-UFO) explanation if it wasn't fot the fact that the general public, including local officials and military personnel had not been whipped up into a state of near-hysteria by the media's sensationalism of the sighting described in this post. The incident at Roswell happened at the very peak of the news coverage and most everyone involved was already pretty much convinced that an alien invasion was in progress and jumped to a lot of probably erroneous conclusions as a result....

BikerRay is correct. Th pool is NOT being heated by burning human bodies - - it is being heated by the same natural gas combustion that is ALSO being used to cremate the bodies. Unless there are other factors (e.g. a pine box???) i agree that there would be no net heat gain. It takes a LOT of heat energy to completely cremate a human body (ahem.. at least from what i understand....).

Actually, a dam does not reduce the flow of water unless it is a diversionary dam drawing off water for irrigation or other uses. Passing the water through a hydroelectric generator does not make it go away - - the same amount of water comes down the river every year. All a dam does is even out the flow and keeps a reserve so that there is a reliable flow of water year round.

When I was in high school (mid-70's) there was a de-comissioned Nike missile installation in our town (Vashon Island, WA) and some friends and I broke in to the grounds and found a padlocked hatch. We came back with bolt cutters and broke in to find a huge empty underground control center that looked like all the equipment had just been torn out of the walls. We had huge parties down there for several days running - it was great fun until the local authorities caught on. Apparently the U.S. govt still owned it and did not really like it when people trespass in a top-secret federal missile installation.
