Gine still makes a valid argument considering not all athiests are insulting or condescending (just like those who practice a religion are of mixed dispositions). it makes me wonder what it means to these people to be religious at all if cost is enough of a factor to influence the church you align with. I wouldnt imagine someone with an American view of religion to allow such a thing...

its because water evaporates due to a difference in vapor pressure. when you put hot water in cold freezers, there is a high vapor pressure gradient and you get lots of steam off the surface. this draws huge amounts of energy fromt he water. Also, a classic practice differential equation, the rate at which heat convectss (such as into the air) is proportional to the difference in temp between the mediums. hotter water will loose heat faster than cooler water. these two effects are the main drivers in why hot water freezes faster

so basicaly, I can get one of these and my phone battery will last as long as I do. I like

Did anybody else have horrible HL2 flashbacks just now?

I could see the vents as helping reduce drag slightly in the barrel but for the "rocket effect" I dont see any difference from a regular bullet once it has left the barrel. in fact, I see the bullet gaining less from the exhaust gas as it leaves the barrel because the vents dont allow that hot jet of gas to push as hard on the tail of the bullet (not to mention the insignificance of this effect anyway). looks like a sham!

there's a lot to be said about preparation when it comes to lutefisk. if you boil it it goes to pieces and the flavor is lacking but if you microwave it, my family's found [through laziness] that it's quite good! Like many dishes it's all about how you cook it.

I wonder what would happen if you swapped two stickers...

They should put stickers (Little red dots or something) on the lids of all of a store's pickle jars and only that one store (Preferably a big store that's likely to get hit). Then anybody who finds a jar of pickles with a red dot on it knows it was stolen from that store (the stickers will be removed when purchased)!
