I don't know what kind of a statement CCU requires different employees to abide by, but as someone who has applied to work in administrative positions at several institutions of higher education, including evangelical Christian schools, I can say many of them have made it quite clear up front the lifestyle expectations and not to apply if you are not willing to abide by them. In this case, while I feel badly for the woman given her health problems, if she was breaking an agreement regarding her lifestyle, then she knew she was playing with fire if she got caught. The troubling accusation is that she was terminated for trying to take the medical leave she should be allowed to have; if the lifestyle thing is not true, then her firing is most certainly both un-Christian and illegal.

According to wikipedia, the law school there is legit, at least accredited by the ABA. Barry U. isn't some diploma mill exactly, but a private Catholic school.

Having spent some time in the glorious nation of Kazakhstan, I would say it has its charms, mostly because of being relatively exotic to a typical Western visitor.

Nick is probably right - Washington was the only one who ultimately won the war. Well, I take that back - I don't know the history with Collins or Ataturk. Rommel and Bonaparte both lost in the end, or at least their side of the conflict lost, so they go down as brilliant losers. In a single battle, I'd have to suggest Andrew Jackson as another American option - the Battle of New Orleans in January 1815 has to be one of the more lopsided British disasters. Still, Washington is just as deserving as the others mentioned, given what he had to work with he picked the right strategy and it paid off with victory.

hmm . . . if I can only find a way to apply this to my profession, since my ego might need to be checked. O wait, I am quitting my profession and trying to become a writer.

The last one I was going to guess Harry Potter / Trojan horse (I couldn't remember where that story was found - Iliad seems right). The other one I wasn't sure - saw the whale, but didn't think about Moby Dick - that seems like its gotta be right to go with Little Red Riding Hood.

I once had a church member make me a bread pudding out of Krispy Creme donuts, and it was undoubtedly the best bread pudding I have ever had . . . thanks for sharing this idea!

Too bad the video couldn't make it a little clearer - it was really hard to follow, but congrats to the Boilermakers of Purdue (I am a fan of all things Purdue to start with - their solar car team has done really well this year too).
