I feel sorry for these kids....

Why? Because they were doomed from the start. They have parents who don't work (and I will guess that the parents will fight whatever attempt the state makes to force them into being employed), obviously come from a low income background, and from hearing the parents and aunt speak,a poor educational background.

All that is bad enough, but you can overcome it. I had all that going against me as a child in a tiny coal mining town, but I managed to get out of there and make something of myself.

However, I did not have the giant millstone of a ridiclous name around my neck. That makes it so much worse for these kids on so many levels....If the idiot father wanted to show 'ethnic pride', why didn't he use Scottish names for his children? Campbell is Scottish after all.

William Wallace Campbell...There's a name that looks good on a job application.

Adolph Hitler Campbell...Makes you look like an a-hole on a job application.

Heck, name the boy after B-movie great Bruce Campbell for that matter. That will give him cred in geek circles later in life at least.

Sarah Boyle made this punk rock girl smile today...

It was like watching the puniest kid on the playground bash the bully in the head with a dodge ball.

Yep, she's 47, single, lives with 'Pebbles', is unemployed, has a learning disability....and is unattractive.

Honestly, how could I not love this person?

I've never fit into this cultures idea of beauty either...I reached 5'10 and 170lbs by the time I was in 9th grade. I'm a line backer of a woman. The fact that I wanted to be an artist and wore combat boots and 'Ramone's' shirts didn't make me any more attractive.

Guess what? I'm still 5'10, 170lbs, and wearing 'Ramone's' shirts at 35....and yes, still trying to get my work seen and in galleries. Susan Boyle makes me not want to give up.

Ann Hathaway and Paris Hilton are not the type of people I have ever aspired to be. Shockingly, I've found most women don't find them inspiring either. Maybe Susan Boyle is what many of us have been looking for all these years.

I hope her first record goes platinum....and she gets Pebbles a diamond collar.
