Kids today have a lot more indoor entertainment options than I did growing up. There was no internet, no video games, no PCs, no cable television. Actually, television was four whopping channels -- if you were lucky enough to live in a good-sized city. There was nothing else to do but go outside and run around and play. I don't recall more than a couple slightly-chubby kids in all my school days.

Can this be adapted so the superhero is punching through the wall to offer a new roll of TP? Because when you need it... well, that would be a super thing to do.

Here's my contribution: Stretch a bungee cord with carabiners on it across the back of your pickup truck. Hook your grocery bags to the carabiners and you won't have to worry about your groceries sliding around and bruising the fruit. Also, it prevents your six-pack tipping over when you turn a corner and sending beer bottles spewing all over the place.

When you send a video news story to a radio/tv station, you send along a pre-written "suggested intro/outro" with it. Apparently, none of the anchors bothered to write their own intro. ALL of them used the canned verbiage sent out by Conan's PR people.

If I'm not mistaken, kudzu was intentionally imported to parts of the southern US to help control erosion. It grows ridiculously fast. And now they'll import a bug to control the kudzu, next they'll need another critter to control the bug, etc.

If you ever see a rare photo of her without that dated 50s makeup, you can see she really was very pretty. And Marty's right: Marilyn could really take over the shot when she was on screen.

The Mexican drug cartels will ignore them until they start to have an effect on profits. And then they will send out little "mice" to kill them off. And then border violence accelerates, etc.

But those of you not living in a border state don't have to worry about that. It's basically another "OMG, something shocking is happening in a place where someone else lives!" kinda story.

I'd like to see a study on "photographic memory" -- why two people can read the same textbook, for example, but one of them remembers everything they read while the other doesn't. Rote memorization gets a bad rap, but those who can do it ace their tests.

But you never see anybody getting a discount for quoting Amendments to the US Constitution. And no, the 2nd Amendment does not say "every Cletus who wants one can have an AK-47."
