I've heard this kind of claim before, doing "X" will shorten your life by "Y". So I don't eat red meat ever again, is my life already shorter for having eaten it before now? How would I know? What else do you eat or drink with the meat, how does that effect the outcome? With bun or without? Ketchup with sugar or high fructose corn syrup? Grilled (potential carcinogens) or very rare, risking e-coli? To many variables to make such a declaritive statement.
I think the pieces with middle finger raised says volumes, they're mocking us. Seriously, is anyone even trying any more? Looks like someone raided a landfill.
I see. Medical practice in fiction is sometimes not represented accurately. You mean like a resident who finagles a donor heart for her lover and ends up killing him instead and still has a job, even though everyone knows what she did? Kind of like that? Why don't I ever think of making a study like that and (hopefully) getting paid for it? (kicking self)
I miss Space Food Sticks. And I predict the next Hershey's flop will be Air Delights Kisses. The cynic in me says it's just a way of downsizing the amount of chocolate in each candy kiss.
