Those really low per-mile costs are lies from the sellers of electric vehicles. My electric motorcycle (made by Zero) costs almost per mile what my gas-powered Honda motorcycle costs per mile. Slightly less, but nowhere near the "penny-a-mile" they claim. The electric one also has a MUCH slower top speed and a MUCH lower range than my gas one. It just isn't reliable. I guess if a person drives around at no more than 10 MPH, then the electric vehicle really would be cheaper per mile than a gas vehicle.
"Temperatures have spiked in Greenland this week..." Take a photo of the exact same spot in the middle of winter instead of the middle of summer and notice the difference.
