What I like about neatorama is you don't have to register to comment. Sure, I'll never win a prize and I don't comment very often but it's great unregistered readers can have their say too. I've been surfing the net for years and I've never registered with anyone, I never will.
Rain Prate, I laughed out loud a the "smug town" crack and the image of "heavily-armed rough men stand ready in the night".
Culture is an amazing thing. People are generally unaware of the ways cultural power molds their systems of thought and behavior. I am presently saving up my pennies for a trip to Orchid Island to check out Yami culture. The most prized possession for protection in Yami culture is a silver helmet made from melted silver coins. These helmets protect the wearer from evil spirits. Look, the humans are a species capable of believing anything. But, I'd rather hangout with the Yami than visit the gun crazy USA.
I am grateful that I live in what was voted the friendliest community in the world, which happens to be 7 klm's from the (voted) most progressive town in the world which is a 75 min drive from the most livable city in the world. The only gun I know of in my community is a starters pistol owned by an old lady.
We used to have great biodiversity where I live but feral & domestic cats have killed everything. I really miss all the wildlife. I'm sure if all the wonderful creatures were still around to look at, I'd be healthier too. But no, all gone, killed by cats.
Psychiatry is ideology, not a medial science. Psychiatry has not produced a single biological marker for a single so-called mental illness. I am an advocate of diversity and human potential, psychiatrists are nothing more than social control agents, stifling the growth of humanity with the use of narrow behavioral gate post they wish to force every human through.
Work, scam, slave and live a horrible life to earn money to buy stuff you don't really need to impress people you don't really like. I bet they don't have any friends.
What happens if you don't pay the exorcist?
You get repossessed. Ha Ha!
