@JJ Bang - Gee, I wonder if they took all of those things into consideration? They should have consulted you first. Oh wait a minute:
"To test the theory, Alm and Erdman fed one group of mice a normal mouse diet and another group the same diet with a mouse-sized serving of vanilla yogurt."
Both the control group and the yogurt group were on the SAME DIET. The yogurt was the only difference!

@PacRim Jim -
Academics is a smiling child,
Who takes you by the hand,
Then leads you off the precipice.
College football is a whimpering dog,
That shivers alone in darkest night,
Then tears out passing throats.

As the husband of an identical twin and the father of twins, here's the big porblem I have with this mother:
"People would ask me why I dressed the children the same," Kylee said. "I’d just say: “because they’re twins,..."
That's a reason to treat your kids like matching salt and pepper shakers; because they're twins? Always irritated me when parents treated their twins like they weren't individual people. It's even more of a sore point now that I have my own.

@Will_L. Didn't read the article, did you? Towards the end of it:
"But this new study left one important group out of the mix: the stubble-adorned man. A full, six-week beard looks entirely different from a few days or even a couple of weeks of stubble. The Daily Mail reports that other research suggests light stubble actually draws the most favorable response from women."

Is it tuition costs are skyrocketing compared to other products or is it that government support kept the costs artificially below what they would have been and now they are normalizing to where they would have been all along?

@johnJ:

Unless you actually meant that Freedom of Speech's weight is actually situated on only one butt cheek.

Canada, you did it again! You even managed to ruin this! Why? Why do we even let you be a country?

I think the real issue that is totally getting overlooked is "higher education" itself. Society, companies, the government, etc... put too much emphasis into going to college. I graduated with a degree in statistics and frankly, if I had never gone to college, I could do my current job without blinking an eye. Practical experience, professional groups, and Google form the basis of my business acumen. Long term what did I get from college? Some friends and an alma mater whose sports teams I root for. For a vast majority, colleges are no more than big businesses sucking money from their students.
What would be much more beneficial to both companies and society? Mentor programs between businesses and high schools.

Wouldn't the Spanish siesta be considered a second sleep? Still a common practice in Spain.

I'm sorry, but bad parent #10 who made her son walk along the street with a sign showing his 1.22 GPA because of his lack of interest in school doesn't seem to fit with the others. Shame can be a powerful deterrent. While it is extreme, based on the article, it sounds like the kid needs something extreme. Trying to motivate a kid to take school seriously $10,000 gift certificate for a boob job.

Regarding how Bill Murray was to work with, I recall reading back in the day that Richard Dreyfuss couldn't stand him when working on "What About Bob?" If you ever watch that movie, most of the annoyance/irritation, etc... displayed by Dreyfuss wasn't an act. Puts the movie in a whole different light!
