I'm betting the death threats are also made of cheap plastic. Their newfound fame isn't fake though.
Funny that they did various religions (Judaism, Hinduism, etc.) but were too chicken to do an Islam. I mean, they "respected" Islam too much. Yeah, that's the ticket.

"... just sounds inefficient." Never in the history of the world have people said that about something the wealthy do. ;)
Personally, it's not my idea of a dream home, but I suspect a small medieval-style castle wouldn't fit in with the surroundings.
To be frank: While I don't want to eat the rich, I wouldn't be one bit surprised to find this was a viral marketing move to entice people to buy one of his other eighteen lots in the community.

My wife's parents live in Placitas and we've gone to visit twice during the festival. It's really a lot of fun.

You sound envious.
It looks like it's two single car garages, which isn't that out-of-bounds if they want to house ... gasp ... two cars. They may not want a two-car garage hanging off the side, or if they have to adhere to certain community codes or laws.

Considering Chris Gardner' story, he had good source material from which to work.

Movie studios have been horrible about preaching of the evils of copying their content.

The idea behind the razor-on-denim is similar to that of a leather strop (usually with a straight razor) -- it doesn't actually sharpen, but rather straightens the blade's edges.
Before every shave I use the back of my forearm (with care!) for the same, if not better, effect. About fifteen times opposite the cutting direction and I can tell a difference in the blades' smoothness even when doing this.

The Hype Machine goes to eleventy on the Internet. When I made a meager attempt at blogging, I once posted that The Future is a Drag, Man. It broached your very subject, although was more a commentary on where we predicted we'd be by now. Granted, the future I examined it was more Almost Human and less Terminator. ;-)
I, personally, do think of the iPhone as a game-changer. Different or similar tech may have been there before, but it was all crammed into a single tiny PC-in-a-pocket and accepted by the masses. Or, at least it felt like a twenty-first century tool.

Yeah, we got our second cat to give the first a companion. It doesn't take that much more effort to have a second.

People using hyperbole on the Internet? Never in history has this happened before.
I love your non sequitur, there though.

"Feminazi" is an "extreme or militant feminist", and often seem to be misandrists.
If it's okay to hate on men for misogyny, it should be okay to hate on women for their version. Anything less isn't about equality, but about power.
Or, we could all toughen up and do the "sticks and stones thing", but I know today that's crazy-talk.

I kept wondering why something close to a 1984 scene would have been included in an Animal Farm book. After going down the linky rabbit-hole I found the caption of the rat-cage illustration reads: Portrait of George Orwell by Ralph Steadman

And then there's this:
On their Facebook page, the two artists write in Spanish that there was no way they would depict Muhammad out of their great respect for Islam but stressed they did not intend to offend any religion.
