Actually there was a store here in Tampa called "The Wooden Nickle" which was a combo head shop/comic/adult/magazine/trinket store. They used wooden nickle coins in the 80's.

I saw the storage wars episode too. If you go to the ebay link you will see that it is NOT engraved, it is at best stamped. Look at the picture of the inside of the hat. That is not engraving at all.
