okay. I think we need to remember that in some parts of the world, rape is an absurdly large problem. In some (most accutally) places, women are not respected or protected by the justice system, or society in general. "oh no! but what if the rapist's bladder bursts because he's too frightened to go to hospital?" What kind of argument is that? one, he shouldn't be raping anyone in the first place. two, if he wants to kill himself because he doesn't want to out himself as the disgusting scumbag he is, good on him. he deserves it. In the slums of South Africa, there's no appealing to the courts for a better system or stricter penalties for rape. Those women need physical protection RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT. not months after the incident from a court. Wake up, women have yet to achive full equality and respect in the US. True, he may beat her to death, true she may attacked by a group of men, and thus only able to defend herself from one guy in that way. But it's a step. it's a retaliation, and it's nessicary.
and someone might misuse it, ya, well people missuse a lot of things.
It's reduces the spread of STDs...it gives the woman a chance to maybe defend herself and run. it is a revolutionary invention for women. so i'm tired of reading all the negatives about this, because whether the it's fair to the rapist or not... okay not even an issue. rapists don't deserve and alternative or a second chance. Personally, i don't think the device does enough damage to the sacks of dirt that think they have the right to do this.
