I wouldn't be surprised if the ones doing the describing of Atilla were Roman citizens themselves. I would very much doubt they would give any "barbarian" a flattering description.
Of course as soon as they notice one thing missing from the counter points the conspiracy advocates immediately jump on that one point alone. OH MY GOD THEY DIDNT EVEN MENTION (BLANK)!

It isn't difficult to understand why our ancestors took these events as signs from the gods. Being inexplicably plunged into the dark suddenly would certainly send me to the the temple!
Thank you pebbe I was just about to mention this. While they are very cute, it is most likely this creature was forcibly taken from the wild (probably as an infant) to be sold to some rich Tourist. But who knows, maybe there is another explanation. Maybe it was rescued.
