As an American who's been living in Europe for the past 14 years, here's what I've noticed: As someone else mentioned, the American tourists are always the worst dressed, hands down. They are the ones in sweats (those should be outlawed in public- especially on men- yuck) and flip-flops. If you ever see a woman in a skirt wearing tennis shoes- she is 99.9% guaranteed to be an American. Most Americans talk way louder than anyone else in any given place- it's like they WANT every stranger around to hear what they're saying. Having said that- I get homesick for my fellow countrymen and love running across them in unexpected places.
So I'm wondering just what the point was of this. I, too, am Tim Bernes-Lee the inventor of the internet with a score of 100%. And let's be honest here- I know my way around ok but I'm not really an internet goddess or geek or anything even close.
Actually- I wouldn't call most of those traditional. They sure do qualify as odd though! The traditional ones are going to look a lot more like this http://kymri.photoshelter.com/image/I0000S8uDnUTbyHY and like a lot of weddings in anywhere else. :)
9 out of 17 here, too. Missed some that I'd read, got some right by process of elimination/guessing. It's been YEARS since I read any of these so I was happy enough.
My parents got stuck in the Atlanta jam- and what a mess. Thankfully they were close to an exit and, after 5 hours managed to get off the interstate and into a service area, got gas and then spent hours in a restaurant there...and finally were moved into a hotel last night. They told about people coming down the road with food and drinks for stranded motorists. The stuff stories are made of...but the kind of stories you'd rather not actually experience first hand. Thanks Good People of Atlanta!!
Marked me as 80% Conservative/20% Liberal but I'm pretty much a Liberal. Interesting. I've always felt though, that those labels as used today are completely inaccurate. Many of my feelings seem much more conservative in reality than those I hear expressed by so-called Conservatives.
And now I've just discovered him- wow- this is gorgeous! The pix look familiar though- so I wonder if I've actually seen them before (artist's name was unfamiliar). Where are the originals?
Oh man- what a hoot! She's cute and sweet, for sure- but she's a pistol, too! That kid beside her kept getting a bit distracted by her!! And I'd love to know what some of the asides to her parents were!
