If ammo availability is going to be a concern, I'd say go with something that's readily common in your area. A 9mm pistol and a 12 gauge shotgun are a pretty good zombie fighting combination. I'd go with a beretta CX4, which is a carbine rifle that can shoot 9mm betetta pistol magazines. that way you've got two weapons, but only one kind of ammo and the mags are interchangable. That, and a shotgun. You're going to have to kill a lot of zombies before you find yourself in an undead-slaying scenario where a shotgun isn't damn handy.

My ninja roommate confirms that this is from one of the "shitty kim" books. We have been making "monkey steals peach" jokes for quite a while now, and even have the cat practicing a fairly accurate strike. We call that "kitty steals leechee", though.
